What's Next for the Positive Impact Plan, New Survey and Opportunities to Connect
🏄 CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE CHECK-IN SURVEY 🏄

We're Back! The Positive Impact Team will be on the road this November to connect with you again. It was such a privilege to engage with the people of the East Coast earlier this year while visiting communities all across the region. We’re so grateful for the time, generosity and insights that were shared.

Since then, we've spent several months working through all the input gathered, and have developed some draft principles and frameworks for you to consider. This work forms a baseline for the Positive Impact Plan to be built from, think of it like an underpinning set of values for any future planning or actions that could be undertaken.

Now it's vital we check in with you to ensure what has been developed so far feels right for the East Coast community. We’d appreciate your feedback and any suggestions that will assist us to ensure the Positive Impact Plan's end result is something we can all support!

Complete the survey via the button below. You can choose to remain anonymous, or share your details at the end of the survey for your chance to win a 25-minute Scenic Flight over beautiful Wineglass Bay for 2 people, thanks to Freycinet Air Adventures.

In Case You Missed It

We've been sharing some interesting examples of Positive Impact Projects in action via our Facebook page.

One example shared is The Great Barrier Reef’s “Eye on the Reef” Program. At the Great Barrier Reef, tourism operators and scientists teamed up to monitor coral health during visitor activities via a program called “Eye on the Reef” which focused on collecting valuable data while educating visitors and promoting reef stewardship.

The ‘Eye on the Reef Tourism Weekly Monitoring Programme’, is one of the largest tourism-based coral reef monitoring collaborations on the planet, with participation options for first time visitors or tourists as well as scientists, tourism operators and fishers.

It’s a great example of tourism participating in conservation work. To find out more, visit the Australian Government Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority website here.
